Silesia Marathon 2012

Rules of the marathon run

 

 

I.      Organizer

1.     The organizer of Silesia Marathon is:

2.     Co-organizers are:

-         Urząd Miasta Katowice

-         Urząd Miasta Siemianowice Śląskie

-         Urząd Miasta Chorzów

-         Uniwersytet Śląski 

3.     Proud Partners: 

-         Minister Sportu i Turystyki Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej 

-         Prezes Polskiego Związku Lekkiej Atletyki 

-         Association of International Marathons and Distance Races 

 

II.     Date and place

1.     Run will be held on May 3, 2012.

2.     Start will take place in Katowice, the square in front of the sport and show arena Spodek at 9.00 a.m.  Meta will be located in Chorzow, in the Wojewódzki Park Kultury i Wypoczynku S.A. 

3.     Starting area will be divided into zones. Competitors must be set at the start of the hour. 8.45 a.m. in designated zones. 

4.     The exact marathon  route will be on the website www.silesiamarathon.pl.

5.     The route is certified by PZLA and IAAF, and its length is 42,195 km.

6.     Run takes place on the streets are excluded from the traffic.

7.     Runners are required to adhere to the instructions of the Police, Municipal Police and people securing a running route.

III.    Terms of participation, fees. 

1.     In the marathon may take part runners who before 02.05.2012r. reach adulthood and pay entry fee.

2.     Runners by registering and starting the competition declare that they start in the race on their own responsibility. 

3.     Registration and payment of the entry fee is treated as an acceptance of the conditions of marathon run rules.

4.     Each runner taking part in Silesia Marathon 2012 must be verified in the race office by showing an identity card with photo and signature on the start card 

5.     Starting fee in Silesia Marathon 2012:

-         to 1 February 2012r. - 60 PLN (15 EUR)

-         to 15 April 2012r. - 80 PLN (20 EUR)

-         to 27 April 2012r. - 120 PLN (30 EUR)

-         1 and 2 may 2012r. in the Race Office - 160 PLN (40 EUR)

The date of payment is the date of receipt at the organizer's account.

6.     The right to a free start in the marathon have:

-         runners invited by the Director of the Race 

-         Winners of the male and female general categories in previous editions of Silesia Marathon 

7.     Runners who until 02.05.2012r. achieve 65 years, have the right to discounted fee in the amount 30 PLN, after the registration and payment until 1 February 2012. 

8.     The fee for the start is non refundable. Fee can not be transferred to another runner.

9.     When the organizer receives a payment after the deadline, it should be supplemented to the fee current in the next period.

10.   The organizer is not responsible for loss notification and postal transfer or bank transfer through the fault of the bank or post. 

11.   If you wish to receive the invoice must report it to the organizer during 7 days after payment.

12.   Starting fee includes:

-         start number and safety pins 

-         start number with name provided that a start fee before 15 April 2012.

-         commemorative medal for those who complete the course 

-         Silesia Marathon technical shirt 

-         bag / backpack Silesia Marathon 

-         set of souvenirs prepared by the sponsors and patrons of the course 

-         discount voucher for Pasta Party 

-         deposit bag 

-         meal after the race 

-         Free passage of public transportation  KZK GOP on 3 May 2012 on the basis of race number 

 

IV.   Notification 

1.     Applications will be accepted by the registration form placed on the website silesiamarathon.pl to 25 April 2012. After this date applications will be accepted in the Race Office on days 1 and 2 May 2012. On race day applications will not be possible! 

2.     Receive packages and starting numbers and will be possible in the Race Office located in the exhibition hall Kapelusz in the WPKiW in Chorzow, only after paying registration fee and demonstration of an ID. 

3.     Race Office will be open:

-         1 May 2012r. from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm (records, verification and distribution of packets)

-         2 May 2012r. from 10.00 am to 10.00 am (records, verification and distribution of packets)

-         3 May 2012r. from  6.30 am  to 7.45 am (verification and distribution of packets)

4.     The limit of participants in Silesia Marathon 2012 is 4,000 people. The organizer reserves the right to early closure of records in the case of filling a limit of entries. 

5.     Limit of starting numbers granting of in the Race Office is 100 

 

V.    Awards and classifications

1.     The amount of financial rewards for the winners will be determined in a separate communication on silesiamarathon.pl. 

2.     The condition for receiving awards and cash bonuses is to complete the run, a negative doping control and personal appearance at the awards ceremony.

3.     Cash prizes will be paid to the indicated bank account, in accordance with applicable tax regulations. 

4.     Every marathon runner who completed the course within the prescribed time limit will receive a commemorative medal.

5.     Competitors who complete the marathon will take part in the contest with attractive prizes. The contest with prizes will take place on the basis of separate regulations. 

6.     Classification of Silesia Marathon will be held in the following categories:

-         General: Women and Men (rewarded places 1-6) 

-         Age: men and women 

 ·          W 20 from 18 to 29 years 

·          W 30 from 30 to 39 years

·          W 40 from 40 to 49 years

·          W 50 above 50 years

 ·           M 20 from 18 to 29 years

·           M 30 from 30 to 39 years

·           M 40 from 40 to 49 years

·           M 50 from 50 to 59 years

·           M 60 from 60 to 69 years

·           M 70 above 70 yeras

7.     The organizer reserves the right to introduce additional classification

 

VI.    Measurement and the time limit 

1.     Time measurement is made by the electronic system. Official time is the gross.

2.     The organizer sets a limit on the time of finishing the marathon in 6 hours.

3.     Runners who have reached the halfway point above the 2.45 hour are obliged to stop running and leave the race route. 

4.     Runners who do not finish the race in the limit of 6 hours. (for hours. 3.00 p.m.) are obliged to leave the race route. 

5.     Staying on the route running after the specified time, as well as not adhering to decision of the judges carries responsibility on runners according to the existing traffic rules and the Civil Law.

 

VII.  Points of nutrition and refresh, deposit, transportation 

1.     Points of nutrition will be located every 5 km. 

2.     Their Specific  location is indicated on the route map on website silesiamarathon.pl. 

3.     For runners on the route race will be available: spring water, isotonic drink, fruits. 

4.     Organizers will accept individual nutrients players on the competition on May 3, from 7.00 - 8.00 a.m. at the starting line. Any supplement must be clearly marked with the start number and the number of point nutrition. 

5.     Individual nutrients are set to 10, 20, 30 km route running (respectively - the number 1,2 and 3). 

6.     Changing rooms will be located near the start and the finish of the marathon. Changing rooms will be open from 7.00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. 

7.     Deposit for runners will be located near the start and open from 7.00. a.m. Things will pick you up at the finish until 3:30 p.m. on the basis of race number. 

8.     Between the start and finish line will run special  buses for runners (journey time  10 minutes). Buses will run from hours. 7.00 a.m. to 8.20 a.m.  in every 10 minutes and from 10.00  to 10.30. a.m. 

 

VIII.  Accommodation and meals

 1.     The organizer provides free accommodation in the sports hall from 2 to 3 May 2012 for runners, who make up at registration on the website and make the course fee - the number of seats is limited. Place of accommodation will be submitted to interested persons in the race office. The organizer does not provide sleeping bags and mattresses.

2.     After the run organizer provides regeneration meal.

3.     2 May 2012. between 4.00 and 6.30 p.m. in the Silesia Marathon Expo, will take place Pasta Party. For participants of the marathon fee is 2 zł and are not included in entry fee.

 

 

IX.   Accompanying Competitions

1.     As part of Silesia Marathon 2012 will be held:

-         Half Marathon, start will take place in Katowice, the square in front of the sport and show arena Spodek at 11.00 a.m.  Finish will be located in Chorzow, in the Wojewódzki Park Kultury i Wypoczynku S.A.

-         children and youth runs played on 1 May 2012

-         marathon relay played May 2, 2012 r.

-         Nordic Walking rally played on May 2, 2012

2.     Accompanying Competitions will be held under separate regulations.

 

X.    The final provisions

1.     Running rules apply PZLA, IAAF and this Regulation

2.     The organizer provides medical care on the route, and finish line of the Silesia Marathon.

3.     Runners starting number should be pinned on the front shirt at chest height under penalty of disqualification.

4.     Not respecting rules may be a reason for disqualification.

5.     Protests will be accepted in the race office for hours. 3.30 p.m. after the payment 500 zł. This amount will be refunded if the protest favorably examined.

6.     The final interpretation of the regulations is on the side of the organizer.

  1. TERMIN,  MIEJSCE ORAZ TRASA
    1. Bieg odbędzie się 3 maja 2010 roku i rozgrywany jest w ramach SILESIA MARATHON.
      Miejsce startu: Al. Korfantego, Katowice (Spodek)
    2. Trasa posiada atest PZLA oraz IAAF, a jej długość wynosi 42,195 km.
    3. Meta maratonu: okolice Hali Widowiskowo-Sportowej „Spodek".
    4. Trasa biegu będzie wyłączona z ruchu kołowego i oznaczona co 1 km.
    5. Trasa będzie przebiegała przez miasta: Katowice, Chorzów, a szczegółowy jej przebieg można zobaczyć tu >>>
    6. Bieg odbywa się na ulicach wyłączonych z ruchu kołowego. Uczestnicy maja obowiązek stosowania się do poleceń Policji, Straży Miejskiej oraz osób zabezpieczających trasę biegu.
    7. Trasa maratonu posiada nawierzchnię asfaltową.

  2. WARUNKI UCZESTNICTWA
    1. W Akademickich Mistrzostwach Polski mogą wziąć udział studenci studiów dziennych i zaocznych którzy przedstawią w biurze zawodów aktualną legitymację studencką oraz pracownicy dydaktyczni uczelni wyższych dysponujący odpowiednim dokumentem potwierdzającym zatrudnienie.

  3. ZGŁOSZENIE
    1. Zgłoszenia do klasyfikacji Akademickich Mistrzostw Polski przyjmowane są będą wyłącznie w Biurze Zawodów poprzez wpis na liście startowej (zawierający numer startowy, imię i nazwisko, nazwę uczelni oraz klasyfikację – student/pracownik naukowy).

 

  1. NAGRODY i KLASYFIKACJE
    1. Organizatorzy wprowadzają następujące klasyfikacje:
      - Studentów (kobiety i mężczyźni)
      - Pracowników naukowych (kobiety i mężczyźni).
    2. Warunkiem  przeprowadzenia klasyfikacji jest start minimum 3 osób w danej klasyfikacji
    3. Zwycięzcy (I-III miejsca) otrzymują pamiątkowe puchary.
    4. Organizator zastrzega sobie możliwość wprowadzenia dodatkowych klasyfikacji.
  2. NOCLEGI I WYŻYWIENIE
    1. Organizator zapewnia bezpłatny nocleg na sali sportowej z 2 na 3.05.2009 r., dla chętnych, którzy zaznaczą rezerwację przy rejestracji na stronie internetowej biegu - ilość miejsc jest ograniczona. Miejsce noclegu zostanie podane zainteresowanym osobom w Biurze Zawodów.
      Organizator nie zapewnia śpiworów i materacy.
    2. Po zakończeniu biegu organizator zapewnia posiłek regeneracyjny oraz wodę.
    3. 2.05.2009 r. w godz. od 1600 do 1900 odbędzie się na terenie MarathonExpo Pasta Party. Dla uczestników maratonu opłata wynosi 2 zł i nie jest wliczona w opłatę startową.
  3. POSTANOWIENIA KOŃCOWE
    1. Uczestników składając podpis na liście startowej Akademickich Mistrzostw Polski akceptuje niniejszy regulamin i zobowiązuje się do jego stosowania.
    2. Interpretacja niniejszego regulaminu należy do organizatora.
