In Silesia Metropolis Life is full of culture. Aloms 30 theatres are active in the Silesia Metropolis. It is worth visting the largest drama stage in the metropolis - The Stanisław Wyspiański Silesian Theatre in Katowice, going to see the extraordinary performance of the Silesian Dance Theatre in Bytom, or watching one of the great musical performances in the Silesian Opera in Bytom, the Entertaiment Theatre in Chorzów, or the Gliwice Music Theatre.

Numerous international and national events take place in the Silesia Metropolis, attracting hundreds of thousends of visitors from Poland and abroad. The most popular among them are Rawa Blues, the Off-Festival, the Upper-Silesian Art Festival, the Silesian Guitar Autumn, and the "Interpetations" National Festival of the Art of Stage Direction.

Metropolis Silesia is also one of the greenest places on the map of Polish. The Silesian Park of Culture and Recreation in Chorzów is an  green heart of the Upper Silesian agglomeration
